Yazoo River Trail
The Yazoo River Trail provides access to walking and hiking on 45 acres of pristine batture forest habitat. Location in the Greenwood-Yazoo River Natural Area, the meadow trail meanders through a small grove of trees and the forest trail winds along the Yazoo River through a beautiful bottomland hardwood forest. In 2018, a bridge and boardwalk, designed and built by Delta Design Build Workshop, were added to the Trail to improve accessibility. Site amenities including picnic tables, benches, trash receptacles, and a bike rack are available on site.
Yazoo River Arboretum
The Yazoo River Arboretum is a great place for passive recreation between Keesler Bridge and Veterans Bridge in the center of Greenwood. The area is home to a wide variety of native and trees and is adjacent to the Greenwood municipal boat landing. Several community events, including Stars & Stripes and the city's Employee Appreciation Day are held here each year. The Arboretum is also a great place to view the fireworks display that follows the Roy Martin Delta Band Festival.

Parking
Public parking is available between the bridges on the north side of the Yazoo River near the municipal boat landing. To access the parking lot, turn off of Claiborne Avenue between the Old Fire Station and the Legion Post toward the Yazoo River. People may access both the meadow trail and the forest trail by crossing under Veterans Bridge from the parking area.
