Comprehensive Plan
About the Plan
Adopted in October 2010, the Greenwood Comprehensive Plan identifies opportunities for land use, transportation, and capital improvements, and provides recommendations for the preservation of the natural environment as well as improvements to the built environment, all of which will make Greenwood a healthier and more sustainable place to call home.
Funding
Greenwood's comprehensive planning process was funded by the Mississippi Development Authority and the Delta Regional Authority and the plan was developed by city planner Shelly Johnstone, AICP, with assistance from a local steering committee. The plan recommends goals, objectives, and policies to help Greenwood meet future needs.
