Tree Board
About the Tree Board
The mayor of Greenwood appoints seven “tree interested” citizens to the Tree Board with the council's confirmation. One may be appointed from each ward. However, each councilperson may make one selection from anywhere within the city and recommend their appointment to the mayor. The Tree Board develops (and updates, as necessary) a written plan for the care, pruning, planting, removal, etc. of trees and shrubs in public areas and front yard setbacks. The board also deals with other tree/shrub-related matters upon request.
