Wastewater Treatment

Greenwood's new wastewater treatment plant began operation in April 2015. It is designed to treat up to 6.3 million gallons per day and currently treats approximately 2.3 million gallons per day. Located on Ione Street, the wastewater treatment plant maintains the City of Greenwood's sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and pumping stations. Greenwood Waste Water Treat Plant is under the direct leadership of Eddie Payne. 

The city has 105 miles of sanitary sewers, 35 sanitary pumping stations, and 18 stormwater stations. It is a 24-hour facility.
